After the successful and fun CPR Course, PJ Library joined Friends to Life™ again. This time to bring you the American Heart Association’s First Aid for Children Course.
This new program will teach you how to manage illness and injuries in a child for the first few minutes on the scene. It also includes important information about child safety and injury prevention.
First Aid for Children Course aims is to give you the confidence to provide first aid care for children until professional help arrives.
The program is recommended to anyone who wants to learn basic first aid information, and know how to handle a situation until professional help arrives on the scene.
Participants enjoy learning in a fun, dynamic and interactive format. Your coach provides answers, facilitates practice, and presents opportunities to share you concerns and personal insights as parents.

What Will I Learn?
This 90 minutes First Aid Course combines the right amount of medical information, real life situations and clear advice without being overwhelming or assuming medical background.It includes:
- General Principles of First Aid: Being Ready, Checking for Injuries and Illnesses
- Medical Emergencies: Seizure, Shock, Bleeding
- Injuries of different types: Head, Eyes, Broken bones
- Breathing Problems at All Ages
